Irrisol Uganda.

Covering full costs for the operation and maintenance of rural water supply remains a key challenge in Uganda. Sector reform efforts seek to delegate rural water supply to non-state Area Service Providers, but the new policy has not been fully rolled out and it is not clear how it will be financed.

Irrisol designs socially inclusive and environmentally sustainable water supply solutions. To date, it has developed over 200 standalone water systems and operates 7 mini-grids, benefiting 210,000 people. By 2028, Irrisol aims to expand its reach to 1 million beneficiaries.
